We believe in making products that last. 201-grade stainless steel is a durable, corrosion-resistant material used in a variety of household products you already own.

Although it doesn't offer quite the same level of corrosion resistance as the 304-grade stainless steel used in our premium models, with appropriate care, it has the potential to last throughout your cat's lifetime — a refreshing alternative to plastic litter trays that can become scratched, worn and difficult to keep fresh.

A little extra attention when cleaning and drying is all we recommend to help keep it looking its best.

Its one-piece stainless steel construction also eliminates the joined corners and seams found in some other litter trays, making cleaning easier and preventing liquid from leaking through the body.

The carefully finished entrance provides convenient access, while removable rubber-covered handles make the box easier to lift and manoeuvre.

Unlike scratched plastic, the smooth interior is easy to wipe down with warm water and mild washing-up liquid.

With daily scooping and topping up, some customers can achieve two to three months between full litter replacements, depending on their cat, the litter used and individual hygiene needs.

201-Grade vs 304-Grade Stainless Steel – What's the Difference?

Both grades are genuine stainless steel, offering the durability, easy cleaning and non-porous surface that make our litter boxes so appealing.

Our premium 304-grade stainless steel has greater resistance to corrosion, particularly in more demanding conditions.

This 201-grade version offers many of the same everyday benefits but requires a little more care such as more regular cleaning and avoiding exposure to corrosive cleaning products like bleach.

For normal indoor use, with regular cleaning and appropriate care, it's a durable and practical choice.

Importantly, both versions share the same Fussy Cat round design, high sides and commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Caring for Your Stainless Steel Litter Box

A few simple steps will help keep your litter box in excellent condition for years to come.

• Scoop regularly: Remove urine clumps and solid waste daily, particularly where wet litter is in contact with the steel.
• Clean gently: Wash with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth or sponge is all that’s needed.
• Rinse and dry: Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and dry the stainless steel before adding fresh litter.
• Avoid harsh chemicals: Do not use bleach, chlorine-based cleaners, abrasive scourers or steel wool.

With straightforward normal care, your litter box should remain easy to clean and maintain throughout its long working life.
