Beautifully handmade in Britain, designed for cats who love to scratch, hide and snooze!
Meet the Pavilion, a rather special cat scratcher that combines a satisfying cardboard scratching surface with a cosy tunnel hideaway underneath.
Handcrafted in Peterborough, England, using five-layer corrugated cardboard and a stylish wooden surround, the Pavilion is a lovely alternative to ordinary disposable cardboard scratchers.
Its gently curved design provides a generous scratching surface on top and a sheltered little den below, giving your cat somewhere to stretch their claws, curl up for a nap or simply watch the world go by.
Measuring 68cm long, it's particularly well suited to smaller cats and those who appreciate a comfortable resting spot without having to climb.
More Than Just a Cat Scratcher
The Pavilion brings together three of your cat's favourite activities in one beautifully simple design.
- Scratch: A wide, curved cardboard surface gives your cat plenty of room to stretch, scratch and maintain their claws.
- Hide: The sheltered tunnel underneath creates a cosy retreat for cats who enjoy a little privacy.
- Relax: The gently contoured upper surface offers a comfortable place to lounge and watch what's happening around them.
Whether your cat prefers a satisfying morning scratch, a quiet afternoon nap or a cosy place to hide, the Pavilion gives them several ways to enjoy their new favourite spot.
Handmade in Britain with Care
Not your average cardboard cat scratcher!
Every Pavilion is individually cut, assembled and finished by hand in a workshop in Peterborough, England.
Made with dense, five-layer corrugated cardboard, a wooden surround and water-based glue, it's designed to be a durable and attractive addition to your home.
The wooden sides are available in three finishes — brown, white or black — allowing you to choose a style that complements your interior.
Unlike many brightly coloured plastic cat accessories, the Pavilion has a simple, understated appearance that looks at home in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
Why Cats Love Corrugated Cardboard
There's a good reason cats are so often drawn to cardboard boxes and scratching surfaces!
Corrugated cardboard offers a satisfying texture that allows cats to dig in their claws and enjoy a good stretch.
Scratching is a completely natural feline behaviour, helping cats maintain their claws, stretch their muscles and leave scent marks in their surroundings.
The Pavilion's generously sized cardboard surface provides a dedicated place for these instinctive behaviours, potentially helping to divert attention away from your furniture.
And because the scratching deck is reversible, you can turn it over when one surface becomes worn, making better use of the cardboard before it needs replacing.
A Cosy Little Hideaway
Some cats love being the centre of attention. Others prefer to observe everything from somewhere slightly more discreet!
The Pavilion's low-profile tunnel provides a sheltered space where your cat can curl up, relax or keep an eye on household activities.
Cardboard also provides some natural insulation, helping create a comfortable resting environment.
With a height of just 20cm, the Pavilion is easy for smaller and older cats to access, without the need to climb onto a tall cat tree.
Its compact footprint makes it particularly practical for flats, smaller rooms and homes where space is at a premium.

Choosing the Right Size
The Pavilion is best suited to smaller and medium-sized cats, particularly those who enjoy enclosed spaces.
For larger cats or breeds such as Maine Coons and Ragdolls, a longer or more spacious scratcher may be a better option.
As a general guide, choose a scratching surface that allows your cat to stretch comfortably. If your cat prefers to lounge on top, consider their overall body length as well as their weight.
Care & Maintenance
Place the Pavilion on a stable, dry surface where your cat enjoys spending time.
Remove loose cardboard fragments as necessary. Some shedding is normal as cats scratch and wear down the surface.
When the upper scratching surface becomes worn, the reversible cardboard deck can be turned over to provide a fresh scratching area.
Keep the Pavilion dry and avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, which may weaken the cardboard.
Inspect regularly for damage or excessive wear and replace when necessary.
Please note: As each Pavilion is handmade, minor variations in finish may occur. Scratching surface longevity will depend on your cat's individual habits and frequency of use.
